Peter Riley's starting point, the terror of an ordinary nine-to-five life and the sense of being destined for more, came from Logan at 19. He now calls that view naive, though it felt very real then. He also took acting classes at university without wanting to act professionally, cycled through wanting to be a musician and a filmmaker, and is now a writer.
