More quotes from this episode

• Wake up in the dream, figure out what your totem is, and figure out that you're awake. And then when you're awake, do the scariest possible thing you could ever do, and then realize you don't die, or realize that it's okay, or realize that you're safe.Samantha Chung · 31:15
• In dreams we hallucinate that there's a wall there, but there's not really a wall there. We're just dreaming that there's a wall there, and we do that in waking life too.Samantha Chung · 7:21
• The best fiction-making machine that we have is our mind when we go to sleep at night. You're building worlds and stories every single night, and a novel is just that same thing in a pill format.Tamir Barzilai · 20:57
• What we truly want competes with what we're taught to want. But in the dream world we don't have as much access to what the conscious mind has been taught to want. We just get to want what we really want.Samantha Chung · 23:19
• The fear of hell was creating hell. I didn't even have to go to the mental hospital, I was already there mentally.Samantha Chung · 33:41
• I didn't even realize how heavy my body had felt until it was gone. I think we just get used to what the heaviness of fear feels like.Samantha Chung · 35:17
